Sermon Notes
Identify Your Family:
- Broken family
- Divided family
- Worldly family
- Religious family
- Healthy family
If our family is the same damaged, divided, and disconnected family
we had before this started, then we’ve lost the lesson.
A Renovation of Family:
- Put God first.
Mark 12:29-30 NLT
Jesus replied, “The most important commandment is this: ‘Listen, O
Israel! The Lord our God is the one and only Lord. And you must love
the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and
all your strength.’”
We love others best when we love God most.
The way I put Jesus first is not “Jesus THEN my family” but “Jesus IN
my family.”
Deuteronomy 6:4-7 NIV
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your
God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your
strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on
your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when
you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie
down and when you get up.
The most important thing you could ever do for your family is help
them see that God is the most important thing.

and pray together daily. - Put family second.
Your family should never have the question of whether or not you
love your job more than them.

James 1:22 NIV
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what
it says.
