The Way, the Truth, and the Life

John 14:1-6 NIV
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also
in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would
I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And
if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to
be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to
the place where I am going.” Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t
know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus
answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to
the Father except through me.”

Acts 9:1-2 NIV
Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing out murderous threats against the
Lord’s disciples. He went to the high priest and asked him for letters
to the synagogues in Damascus, so that if he found any there who
belonged to the Way, whether men or women, he might take them as
prisoners to Jerusalem.
The Way: the road, the pathway that one must follow to get to a
desired destination
My job isn’t to memorize the map; my job is to keep my eyes on
Jesus.

The disciples saw Jesus do many other miraculous signs in addition
to the ones recorded in this book. But these are written so that you
may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God,
and that by believing in him you will have LIFE by the power of his
name.
